Spanish version of the news to a give bad image to Americans
LETTER TO THE EDITOR, By Hal Netkin:
When the Star's story by Becky Pallack and Mariana Alvarado Avalos came out last Sunday, December 23 (Employer-sanctions law starting to have the intended effect) for which I interviewed, I sent an email to Becky Pallack commending her for her accuracy and fairness in reporting that story. But when I viewed the title of the Star's Spanish version of the same story (Renuncian al sueño americano - Translation: They [legislators] renounce the American Dream) I realized that the Star inserts bias in its Spanish stories to partner with illegal immigrants in their belief that Americans "are out to get them."
