Now after years of poo-pooing security concerns, Homeland Security Secretary, Michael Chertoff has a "GUT FEELING" that al Qaeda is a threat. But of course he won't be able to fix the security of our nation without a guest worker program.
On September 17, 2001 (just after 9/11), after circulating an email with the image seen at the right to then Mayor Hahn, all the Los Angeles City Council members, a myriad of other city bureaucrats, and hard copies to FBI Director Mueller and others; three LAPD officers showed up at my home with a fax copy of a letter from LAPD, Van Nuys Division, Captain Robert McNamara, informing me that my Block Captain status was being revoked with orders to surrender my LAPD Block Captain's badge to the officers.
The letter dated September 18, 2001, by Captain McNamara copied to then Chief Bernard Parks advised me that my Block Captain status was being revoked as a result of a computer generated image of L.A. City Hall being destroyed with the caption reading "Could this happen to Los Angeles?"
I transmitted the image as a wake up call to politicians and bureaucrats responsible for the safety of Los Angeles citizens to persuade them to repeal Special Order 40.
Captain McNamara wrote: "The color logo of your email depicting the destruction of Los Angeles City Hall, which accompanies a letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, entitled 'Could Los Angeles be next?' is considered in light of recent events, to be grossly beyond the bounds of sensitivity at minimum."
Could this happen to
Los Angeles?
This excuse to harass and fire me was clear evidence that L.A. police leadership is more concerned with the emotional feelings of citizens, than protecting them from criminals and terrorists -- no one was taking me serious.
In August 2004, my daughter and I had our picture taken standing in Mexico separated from Hereford, Arizona by the damaged barbed wire border fence to prove how easily a terrorist could cross the border with a WMD.

The simulated WMD was easily driven through the immigration check point north of Sierra Vista, AZ, and delivered to Los Angeles without any problems.
I again emailed and wrote our "protectors" on how easily a terrorist could infiltrate the U.S. The evidence I presented was not based on "gut feel" -- It was the real thing.

So what's next?
Another 9/11 of course!
