RE: Van Nuys squatters

Hal, that is absolutely HYSTERICAL!!!!!  Because you say something about it, you CAUSED IT??????  What mental institution did she escape from??!!!?!!!

Then if you see a neighbor's house on fire and call the FD, you caused the fire.  You see a woman being raped and tell the LAPD, you become the rapist!  This is one of the most absurd thing I have ever heard!  She just wants you to go away quietly, shut up, and let the homeless/illegals/whatever take OVER!!  She is incompetent to deal with it, and your talking about it reveals her incompetence!

She certainly is a candidate for Clown of the Week; trouble is that she's now known outside of her own circle of sycophants.

Who owns that piece of property?  Is it an absentee landlord?

What city regs are being violated?

Are they pirating power?

Where do they get their water?

And importantly, where do they dump their human waste?

You'd think that various departments would be involved -- where are they?  Do they look the other way?

Your Flabbergasted Friend

I called the owner about that property. He said that it was for sale and he couldn't do much about the squatters except hope they went away on their own. Nudge, nudge -- wink, wink.

There is no question that they are violdating city law. They are (I can't cite the exact ordinance at this moment), but the Department of Building and Safety only does their job when a law abiding citizen violates zoning laws.

I don't know where they are getting their water. I'll look into it.

When I drive by at night, I see candle light.

I don't know where they do their poo-poo.

Yes, the departments look the other way. (The email you received was also addressed to the DBS's high management).
